Campaigns start as soon as your LinkedIn account is connected

We fixed an issue that could leave a newly launched campaign sitting idle until the next day.

What was happening

If you launched a campaign and then connected LinkedIn or added contacts a few moments later, Botdog’s scheduler may already have checked the campaign and found nothing ready to run.

It would then wait until its next scheduled check, which could mean the campaign did not start until the following day.

This could also happen when contacts were added through the API or Zapier.

What changed

Botdog now checks for work again immediately when you:

• Connect or reconnect LinkedIn
• Add contacts through the API
• Resume a campaign through the API

If the scheduler is already working through the current hour’s actions, it continues on its normal hourly rhythm.

Your existing sending rules are unchanged, including:

• Daily limits
• Active campaign days
• Working hours from 8 AM to 8 PM in your timezone
• The spacing between campaign actions

This update only improves how quickly the first eligible action is picked up.

Morning campaigns also start on time

We also improved the overnight pause.

Instead of waiting a fixed number of hours after the last check, Botdog now resumes at 8 AM in your timezone.

This means your campaign can make full use of the morning sending window instead of losing time before the scheduler wakes up.
