Fixed adding Botdog as a custom connector in Claude

We fixed an issue that could stop Claude from connecting to Botdog before you even reached the sign-in page.

This affected Botdog custom connectors added through Claude on the web, Claude Desktop, and the Claude mobile apps.

Previously, Claude could show:

Couldn’t register with Botdog’s sign-in service

and stop the connection process immediately.

What changed

Claude can now complete the connection setup correctly.

You will be taken to the Botdog sign-in page where you can:

Claude now also requests the correct Botdog permissions from the start, so the connection no longer fails immediately after setup begins.

Other AI assistants that connect to Botdog in the same way benefit from this fix too.

If you saw this error before, remove the Botdog connector from Claude and add it again.
