Fixed: Campaign Voice Messages Now Play On Mobile

We fixed a bug where voice messages added to a campaign step would play fine on desktop but show up as broken or silent when your contact opened them in the LinkedIn mobile app.

The issue was that we were sending the audio in whatever format you uploaded or recorded. And some of those formats don’t play reliably in LinkedIn’s mobile app. We now automatically convert all voice messages to the format LinkedIn uses natively for voice notes, so they work on phones and tablets the same way they do on a computer.

This applies whether you record directly in the app or upload a file like an MP3.

Nothing additional needed for new voice messages — the conversion happens automatically. If you have an existing campaign step with a voice message that wasn’t playing on mobile, re-record or re-upload it once and you’ll be good to go.
